cat colony

There's this crazy house around the corner from our apartment. It looks like a haunted mansion or the house in grey gardens. The yard is overgrown and full of cats. On a warm day my nostrils burn from cat pee smells from across the street. Still, I often go out of my way to walk past it so I can peek through the wrought iron fence and catch a glimpse of one of the dozens of grizzled kitties napping under the broken cars.

More pictures from Cold Spring

It's not that I haven't done anything this week, but I guess the most "picturesque" things I've seen were on the location scout. I guess that's a good sign.

The city's not so big

Last weekend I went on a location scout to Cold Spring, NY. It's just an hour train ride north of Manhattan. Could it be more different? It's crazy how the scenery looks like this even just fifteen minutes out of the city. Oh, and that body of water is not the "Cold Spring", it's the Hudson River! I've never seen it look so...not brown.

I'm melting!

Oh my god, summer is going by so fast! And soon I will be in Seattle/Bellingham! Can't wait! It gets so hot here sometimes it seems like the buildings are melting.

Amanda

It's also been fun spending time with Amanda. Here she is when we were taking a break at a sidewalk cafe. We had FIVE pugs with us!

Simon!

I've been dogwalking a bit to help out my friend (and subject of my short documentary project for school last winter) Amanda. It's fun, but exhausting. So nice to be around puppies, though. I miss them from the pet store years. :)

I took this photo with my phone and now I can't stop taking silly photos of the city. It's usually when I miss my friends. So I thought I'd start a stupid blog to show you these photos I take when thinking of you. If you want to see them.
